Some things I let slide more than others but the phrasing of this book was just SO awkward and I didn’t vibe with the writing at all.There are moments where the language veers into some virgin or even little kink (as Georgie is a virgin and it’s made a big deal of and she also comes off as very innocent). There is no questioning that Travis and Georgie have undeniable chemistry, but can they overcome their hang-ups and commit to something real? She throws herself into her work and rarely comes up for air, not even to plan her upcoming wedding. BUT when that seems to be the only part of the story that’s managing to hold my interest, it’s time to cut and run. The fake dating aspect doesn't begin until 40%, with Travis being an absolute asshole the entire time, only just learning from his mistakes.

Now usually i’d stay 10 miles from a man named Travis but the Travis in this book had me blowing my hairdryer threw my damp tshirt. From both a storytelling/craft perspective and the actual situations themselves, the sex was horrid. It doesn’t help her cause that she’s not in the family business, but instead is a professional clown (yes, you read that right). Even the thought of kissing her "virgin lips" and being the "first man to claim her mouth" had me cringing so hard, I think I have a kink in my back now.
